Adaptive Fitness Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Assistant Coaches

Assistant c\Coaches help IM ABLE trainers at regularly occurring classes such as IM FIT and Special Olympics’ UNIFIED Programs, and Operation Lead from the Front’s Battle Buddies and GRIT programs. These ongoing programs that enlist volunteers to assist individuals with disabilities with their workouts at our facility in Wyomissing. A certified trainer runs the program, but we are always in need of some helping hands.

Volunteer Lead Coaches – Coming Soon!

Lead Coaches receive in-depth training in the areas of adaptive exercises and equipment, disability language and awareness, and CPR & First Aid. Lead Coaches will lead adaptive activities and classes for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Coaches motivate and encourage participants to reach their goals. 

Operation Lead from the Front Volunteer 

Mentor a adaptive athlete in a relationship based on getting active. 


Event Volunteer (IM ABLE)

We have several events throughout the year that rely solely on the work of volunteers. Consider helping out with our racing event, Got the Nerve? Triathlon – May 21, 2022 in Mt. Gretna.

Committee Volunteer (IM ABLE)

IM ABLE is a growing organization, and we are looking to develop specific committees to keep our programs effective and efficient. We have a Development Committee, Event Committee and a Program Committee.
