The IM ABLE Foundation successfully hosted its inaugural Ruck & Roll event at Blue Marsh National Recreation Area, bringing together 88 participants, including veterans and athletes with disabilities, for a day of adaptive fitness, community building, and purpose-driven challenge.

The IM ABLE Foundation will host its new fall event, Ruck & Roll, on Sunday, November 2, at Blue Marsh National Recreation Area, combining rucking and adaptive rolling challenges with family-friendly activities to promote inclusion, community, and physical challenge.
Young Athletes to Receive Custom Basketball Wheelchairs from IM ABLE Foundation
The IM ABLE Foundation will present custom basketball wheelchairs to PA Lions youth athletes Brantlee Phillips, 11, and Laykin Ryan, 10, during team practice on September 26 at Spooky Nook Sports, enabling them to fully participate and grow in wheelchair basketball. The personalized chairs will support the athletes’ development, independence, and joy in adaptive sports after both children discovered the game following life-altering car accidents.
Our team had an incredible day at the PA State Police Sunny Day Camp this past weekend at Camp Manatawny! ☀️🚲
Sunny Day Camp was created to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and children and adults with disabilities while ensuring everyone has the opportunity to learn about the agencies serving their community.
We were excited to bring several adaptive bikes from our fleet and introduce attendees to the freedom and fun of adaptive cycling!
Thank you to the Pennsylvania State Police, Camp Manatawny, and all the staff, board, volunteers, and IM ABLE brand ambassadors who made this inclusive day possible. We loved seeing so many people try something new!

🚲 BIG NEWS IS ROLLING IN! 🚲
We are thrilled to announce that our new adaptive bike storage shed has officially been installed at the Berks County Heritage Center along the Union Canal Trail!
The shed will house a fleet of IM ABLE adaptive bikes, making equipment more accessible to riders with disabilities and creating a home base for upcoming community rides. These rides will bring adaptive and non-adaptive cyclists together to explore the trail, connect with one another and experience the joy of riding as one community!
This exciting step forward was made possible through an incredible team effort:
❤️ Thank you to the Pennsylvania Environmental Council for selecting IM ABLE as a recipient of a 2026 Cycling Activation in PA Mini-Grant and providing the funding that brought this project to life.
❤️ Thank you to Berks County Parks and Recreation Department for working with us to find the perfect home for the shed.
❤️ Thank you to Sheds Unlimited in Morgantown for building and installing our new shed!
We’re now working on the official schedule for our upcoming Rally Point community rides, and we cannot wait to get out on the trail with all of you!

IM ABLE has been busy getting out into the community! 💙
Last weekend, we attended Penn State Health RecFest at Spooky Nook Sports, where we brought some of our adaptive rugby chairs for attendees to try. We even played a few fun games of keep-away!
Throughout the day, hundreds of attendees explored new possibilities for movement, recreation, and connection through inclusive, hands-on activities.
Thank you to Penn State Health Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spooky Nook Sports, and everyone who stopped by to meet our team, try the adaptive equipment, and join in the fun!

If you’ve been to one of our events recently, you’ve probably already met Kourtney Boughey! 👋 She recently made the move from Virginia to Pennsylvania to join IM ABLE as our Community Engagement & Volunteer Director.
Kourtney brings more than 15 years of nonprofit experience building volunteer programs, developing community partnerships, and connecting people with causes they care about.
Throughout her career, Kourtney has held leadership roles with Feed More, the YMCA of Greater Richmond, and The Steward School, specializing in volunteer engagement, program development, and community outreach.
