In 2012 IM ABLE assembled our cycling team to help in our advocacy efforts and to spread the word about the IM ABLE Foundation and our mission.
Our team began with 11 riders and concentrated on the Mid Atlantic Super Series, a mountain bike race series based in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. In 2013 our team grew to over 25 men and women competing on traditional two wheeled bikes and also on hand-cycles. We have also extended our competitive presence from Vermont to Virginia on the East coast and to Arizona, Utah, and Colorado in the South West including the legendary Leadville race series. In 2013, IM ABLE cycling members went from off-road to the pavement as well as racing through December in the Pennsylvania and Mid Atlantic Cyclocross Series and at the World Single Speed Championships held in Philadelphia.
All funds raised by the bike team help support the team’s advocacy efforts as well as the IM Able Foundation’s Mission.
