What’s the dress code / Party Attire?
Chris Kaag, Founder and CEO says, “I usually wear a bow tie, dress shirt, suspenders but jeans, definitely jeans.” We consulted the internet for this one. Lindsey Love is a senior brand stylist and describes it as “dressy casual” or “smart casual.” “Wear what makes you feel fabulous,” she says. The event is St. Patrick’s Day theme so there’ll be some green but, most importantly, come prepared to dance the night away to Blue Label’s rockin’ tunes.
Also, we’ll bring a whole bunch of adaptive equipment and encourage you to try it out so wear something that will allow you to get moving. Wheelchair basketball and baseball, bike races down the track. No Excuses, Just Move!
What is the BASH?
The BASH is IM ABLE’s annual fundraising event. There’s appetizers, dinner, dancing, a brief program to show you the incredible things you’ve made possible over the last year. And, yes, of course, we’ll be asking for your support to help even more people in this upcoming year. And then back to the dancing.
Funds raised at this event help IM ABLE fulfill our mission to remove obstacles that prevent people with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral challenges from living an active life. In our 15 years, we have found the two largest obstacles are the high cost of adaptive equipment and programming opportunities for people of all abilities. Your donations will help IM ABLE give adaptive equipment grants as well as provide inclusive programming.
We will also be honoring this year’s Motivator of the Year, Tonya Petrunak. Through her passion and innovation, Tonya helped develop and launch the Baseballtown’s Dream League in 2017 to provide everyone, regardless of physical and mental ability, the chance to experience the magic of playing sports. Because of Tonya’s leadership at the Dream League, over 200 players and 1,000 volunteers each season have the opportunity to the play baseball, regardless of experience or ability.

is it kid friendly?
This is a party (with a purpose) so it’s probably a good night to call the babysitter. IM FITTERS are welcome. In fact, we’ll be disappointed if they aren’t there!
